What a difference a week makes

The weather has drastically taken a turn towards fall.    We have turned on the furnace and have dug out our sweater and fleece pants.     Ben has been officiating soccer this season and he truly experienced the weather's cruelty.    On Saturday the 29 of September, he was hot!  and Yesterday, he was very cold.  

 The temperatures in the 40s with a strong wind.  Yesterday,  he wore fleece pants with long underwear,  several layers on top, hat and gloves.    Good thing we bought his uniform a size to big.   He looked like a  green snowman.   Instead of a water bottle,  I let him bring a thermos of hot cocoa.    It's good money for a 13 year old boy, and there is lot of opportunity.   He can referee in several of the surrounding communities.
