Just for fun,   I went back on the blog to 2008.    Look that them...  

It's actually one of my favorite things about having this blog.   I love to go back and look back.  It is a great reminder about how blessed we are.    

     

On Wednesday we ventured to the park for our annual back to school photo shoot..

Here's few of my favorites:

Thursday marked the official end to summer and the start of school.   This year I started back on the same day, so Thursday morning was a little crazy.     We have had a little trouble getting back to a regular schedule, but that will come with the shorter days and earlier bed times. 

Fall activities start with week.   Our schedule gets crazier every year.   3 kids in soccer might put us over the edge.      Be on the lookout for some soccer pictures in the next several weeks.  

Here's a few photos from the first day of school.    

Football season has started.   As Athletic Trainers we often feel that we are only appreciated for our ankle taping skills.     But we are far more talented than that! 

A quick request for help from my Scrapbook friends.       My layout was selected for the reader's choice over at CK.   It will be published in the March edition if chosen.     I have never been published in CK and would love the honor.    Could you please vote for me?   Today and Tomorrow are the last 2 days.   I did not realize that they chose my layout, so sorry for the late notice.  

President Obama is spending a few days campaigning in Iowa.    When Ben heard on TV that Obama was going to be in Boone, he asked, " can we go see the president?"

So Saturday afternoon,  we waited for about 1 1/2 hours for tickets to Monday's event.  

On Monday, we waited another 1 1/2 hour for the shuttle to take us to the park.    Once we arrived in the park, we waited to pass through security and then we waited about another hour for The President to arrive.

We were unfortunate enough to be placed right behind the Media, which means they stood right in front of us with their camera.    Although is was a little frustrating, we did catch a few glimpses of the President.

Unfortunately,  Ben has moved around in the crowd to get a better look and he missed the photo opportunity.

I was sort of nervous about shooting this photo of the Secret Service Security.   They had a really big Gun.

  As we walked back to our car, Ben declared that it was a day well spent.  It might be the only time he sees the President in person,  if only just a glimpse.

We have been spending alot of time in front of the TV this week.     Although,  we do miss CBC.    NBC doesn't always do it for us.
