What a week.

This week was completely chaotic, but today we had some time to enjoy the morning at Mary Greeley's family fest. We definitely had a roller coaster of emotions as well this week. I had moments of excitement, fear, confusion, questioning, and it could go on.

We have signed the paper work for both the selling and purchasing of our old and new houses, and now await the inspections early next week.

Anyone have some boxes, moving day will be here quickly.

Correction

We found out this morning that our offer was not properly communicated to the sellers. We are still living in the unknown.

Offer Accepted

Just wanted to quickly update everyone about our house situation. Late last evening, we successfully negotiated to purchase a new home is Ames. I was a little worried that we would have no where to live after August 3.

Inspections for both homes are scheduled for next week. Let's pray everything goes smoothly next week.

God has again shown me that all I can do is trust him.

Pending...

What a whirlwind the last few days have been. Since listing the house, we have had 10 showings and have canceled several others. It's has been a little crazy. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday we left home and basically did not return until later that day. I did not see any point in going home to mess things up. An offer came in on Thursday evening, but we continued to show it until we reached an agreement with the offer. So it's official, our house is sale pending. But it is not over. We are currently in the middle of negotiations for a bigger house to move into. We are waiting to hear back from them. We don't know exactly where to go next if these negotiations fall through. The inspection for our current house is scheduled for next week. Who knows what might appear with this 1935 house.

Really all we can do it pray that we are making wise decisions through out this whole process. Andrew and I keep reminding each other that God is in control, but it's hard not to be a little stressed and worried.

A friend of mine, ends her blog posts with a Gratitude list. Since life seems a little uncertain, today is a good day to be reminded of my blessings:
1. My family, no matter where I live, they will be there with me
2. Resilient children - they have spent several day spent away from home with little complaining.
3. City parks, the library, and Riemann Gardens - great places to hang out when realtors are invading our home.
4. My bed - At the end of the day, I am tired. My bed feels so cozy.
5. Our Realtor, Michelle, She has been a good source of advice and patient with our questions.
6. God's providential hand - "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him"

House for Sale

We have been talking about it for about 2 years and finally we decided to sell our house and find something a little bigger. The last 24 hours have been a little nuts. We listed the house at about 10am on Wednesday morning, by 11:30am we had 3 calls. We have had a total of 7 showings in the last 24 hours and 2 more are scheduled for tomorrow.

If you would like to take a peek inside my house, Here's the Realtor link:

It is really a crazy life. I don't understand how people keep their house ready for show when they live in it. I am praying that this sells quickly.

The kids and I left the house at 11 this morning and did not return until 7 this evening. I did not see a point in returning home between showings, just to mess it up. Our day included: A picnic lunch at the park, a couple hours at the library and supper at Hy-vee.
